IndependentFeatures.com has made a partnership with Lycos. This basically gives an online independent film competition. There is also a social side to it. There is a place to go and chat with other users. There is a section for movies and T.V. on Lycos. There are different genres of movies within Lycos: comedy, drama, action, etc. This partnership could give opportunities to aspiring film makers, or just somebody that wants to rent something online. After viewing the film, you are given the opportunity to rate it. I suppose this is a good source to get feedback on independent films. Even though I am not familiar with either IndependentFeatures.com or Lycos, it seems that this alliance is a positive one. It seems to make sense for a website about renting movies and a website for independent films to work together. It gives both websites publicity for a user on one to discover the other.
